A promising career from a young age
Iván Sotelo Soto, artistically known as Diván, is a Cuban musician and composer who was born on December 2, 1995 in Havana. In Cuba, he is one of the most well-known artists of the urban genre, and his music has been distinguished by combining traditional Cuban rhythms with international styles of reggaeton and trap.
At age 14, Diván joined a local hip hop group and began performing. In 2016, he released his first music album called "#NuevoMundo", which became a great success in Cuba. In 2019 he released his second album, "#Round2".
His third album, and the most recent, "#Feelings" came out in 2022 and became a major commercial success, reaching number one on Cuba's hit lists thanks to its combination of danceable rhythms with romantic and reflective lyrics and has received praise.
He has released songs in collaboration with artists such as Lenier, Jacob Forever, Chimbala, Leoni Torres, El Chacal, Yomil and el Dany, El Micha, El Kimiko and Yordy, Cuban Deejays, Diana Fuentes among others. All of his songs are recurring hits on Cuban and Miami radio and television.
