The host of "Caso Cerrado", Ana María Polo, announced that she will have her own movie. It will showcase the different adventures from her program and will tell some details about the most memorable cases, the Dr. revealed on her Instagram account.
In an interview given to La Tercera, the host of "Caso Cerrado" detailed that the movie "is a kind of wild road movie. She really wanted to get away from the gavel and the desk."
Furthermore, the host emphasized that "she wanted to do something where there would be action and she would have to participate in it. She asked for something extreme, that we wouldn't be afraid to put her in different situations."
The movie will be filmed in Mexico, Panama and the Caribbean, and has a screenplay by Chilean Diego Ayala, who has the task of writing the story of the film about the popular television program. Dr. Polo herself will be the protagonist of the story.
It became known that the Cuban decided to hire the production company Forastero, which has worked on films like "La Nana", to bring the feature film to life; the direction will be in charge of Rodrigo Toro.
Screenwriter Ayala was behind productions like "Sin Filtro", "Fuerzas Especiales" and was also called to be part of the team for the second season of "Luis Miguel, la serie", so this is expected to be an excellent film production. Ayala has said that "it's an action comedy with a lot of heart."
Although the final cast list that will accompany Dr. Polo is not yet available, the popular host would like to include American actress Sandra Bullock and Mexican actor Humberto Zurita.
