A pleasant surprise for the authors has been the nomination of the song: 'Patria y Vida' to the Latin Grammy 2021.
The Latin Recording Academy made the official presentation of the nominations this Tuesday through its social networks, where of course Cuban artists have their presence, which is already considered a distinction.
The 22nd edition of the Latin Grammy has among its nominees the song that became an anthem for Cubans residing abroad, composed by: Descemer Bueno, El Funky, Gente De Zona, Yadam González, Beatriz Luengo, Maykel Osorbo & Yotuel.
The production is competing in Song of the Year, where it faces stiff competition, along with other songs such as, AGUA by J Balvin and others, HAWÁI, by Maluma and others; or DIOS ASÍ LO QUISO by Camilo, Ricardo Montaner and others. Additionally, 'Patria y Vida', is also competing in the Best Urban Song category.
Other Cuban artists are also competing in the Best Traditional Tropical Album category, in fact this is almost dominated by productions by nationals from the largest of the Antilles.
The singer Leoni Torres stands out there with his album "Alma cubana" and the mythical Orquesta Aragón, along with another great Issac Delgado, as well as Alain Pérez, with the CD: "Cha cha chá: Homenaje a lo tradicional".
On the other hand, the most nominated artist for the 22nd edition of the Latin Grammy is Colombian singer-songwriter Camilo, the young sensation of urban music has 10 nominations, among the most important categories: album of the year, song of the year and recording of the year.
He is followed by Juan Luis Guerra with six nominations, the Dominican star reaches a total of 40 nominations in his career.
