Actress Diana Rosa Suárez is in critical condition in Guyana due to a heart attack

The popular actress Diana Rosa Suárez, who recently turned 80 years old, is in Guyana where she traveled on September 29th to keep an appointment at the United States embassy and request a tourist visa to visit her grandchildren, nieces and friends.

The diva suffered a heart attack and is currently in intensive care although not hospitalized due to the impossibility of moving her; according to the tests performed, that heart attack had begun last Saturday in Cuba, when she felt pain, visited the Cardiovascular Hospital of Havana, where they performed two electrocardiograms and nothing abnormal was detected. That is why she traveled.

Diana Rosa is being cared for by her neighbor Xiomara who traveled with her and the niece of that neighbor who housed them in her home in Guyana, where she is receiving all required medical care. She is under constant observation, with absolute rest for a minimum of one month.

Her appointment with the US embassy was for tomorrow, October 2nd, which according to her recovery will have the appointment rescheduled for whenever she has to stay in Guyana and after the prescribed rest and her recovery; for now she is in critical condition.

Cuba's Ministry of Culture is already aware and taking care that she is attended to by Cuban medical brigades that are on mission, although they have not yet made contact with Diana Rosa. For now she is being treated by Guyana's health system. Hopefully before the month is up, Cuban doctors will be able to attend to her.
