Kendrys Morales enters historic list of Cubans

The designated hitter for the Blue Jays, Kendrys Morales, became the fifth Cuban player to hit 200 home runs in the Major Leagues when he hit one over the fence in the sixth inning of the third game of the series against the Yankees.

Kendrys Morales' home run to tie the game traveled 373 feet, according to Statcast™.

Morales now joins Rafael Palmeiro (569), José Canseco (462), Tany Pérez (379) and Tony Oliva (220) in reaching that amount.

Morales is in the second year of his 3-year, 33 million dollar contract that he agreed to with the Blue Jays.

After a difficult start to the season, Morales has turned things around since June 1st, batting .284 with five home runs before Sunday's action.

The home run was his second in the last three games.
