Jorge Soler gives us something to write about every day. And it's that every day he sets a new record for the Royals and for his country in the Major Leagues. Furthermore, not every day do you reach 40 home runs, as the powerful outfielder just did.
Soler not only becomes the first in Kansas City with 40 for the fence in a season, but he is also the first from his country with that number of homers since Rafael Palmeiro achieved it in the 2002 season.
As if that weren't enough, he is the fourth from the greatest of the Antilles to connect 40 home runs in a season: Atanasio "Tany" Pérez (1970) José Canseco (1988, 1991 and 1998) and Palmeiro (1998, 1999, 2001 and 2002).
After many doubts and injuries in his previous seasons, Soler has established himself as one of the power references in the Majors with an offensive line of .255/.348/.542, in addition to those 40 home runs, 27 doubles and 101 RBIs in 140 games with Kansas City.
