The world is full of Cubans who, after leaving the Island, have managed to advance thanks to their perseverance and effort. An example of them is Jorge Pérez, a Cuban who, after emigrating to the United States, managed to become one of the most successful and millionaire businessmen.
Jorge Pérez is a prominent businessman based in the city of Miami, who works in the construction area. He is also the owner of Related Group, one of the most important Latin-owned companies in the country.
As a result, currently Jorge Pérez is owner of a fortune of 3.400 billion dollars and is one of the 500 richest men in the world. However, success is not something that is obtained overnight and undoubtedly this Caribbean man worked hard to find it.
Jorge was born in 1949 in Argentina, and when he was very young his family settled in Cuba for several years. During this time, and thanks to his Cuban parents, Pérez learned to love Cuba and to feel Caribbean at heart.
After the triumph of the Revolution, his family abandons the country to settle in Colombia. It is in 1968 when the Cuban Jorge Pérez goes to the United States and settles in the city of Miami, where he began his university studies.
Around 1976 Pérez begins to work in the planning department and, subsequently began in the construction area building homes in Little Havana. Therefore, initially he dedicated himself to the construction of low-cost homes in working-class neighborhoods in Miami.
After spending three years working in the construction area in the USA, the life of the Cuban Jorge Pérez underwent a radical change. This, as a result of having founded the Related Group company with which he specialized in the construction of buildings with luxury apartments.
Without a doubt, this allowed Pérez to rise amazingly in the market and accumulate an enormous fortune. Furthermore, thanks to the work of this islander and his company, the city of Miami also began to experience a total change.
Likewise, the Cuban Jorge Pérez is one of the pioneers in the construction of attractive towers and elegant buildings that characterize this city in the USA. For this reason, The Wall Street Journal awarded this wealthy businessman the title of "the King of Condominiums," building more than 80,000 homes in Miami.
According to this important businessman, the presence of Cubans in the country has been indispensable in the development of the city of Miami. Consequently, Jorge Pérez assures that thanks to the work of small businessmen of Cuban origin in the USA, they favored the boom of the city.
