Jorge Alí to Star in New Cuban Film "Calle 232"

The actor, who has resided in Miami for several years, traveled to Cuba to film this movie about people who are caregivers.

The renowned Cuban actor Jorge Alí will film the movie Calle 232 on the island with screenplay and direction by Rudy Mora.

Just a few days ago, the visit to Cuba by the artist who resides in Miami made headlines, and one of the reasons for his trip is precisely to participate in this filming.

According to the Cubaactores portal, filming for the feature will begin on May 20th at various locations in Havana.

In addition to Jorge Alí, the cast of this film includes Isabel Santos, Luis Ángel Batista, Chavely Díaz, Laura Moras, Yudexi de la Torre, Reytel Oro, and Andrea Doimeadiós.

Calle 232 is a fictional feature film about caregivers inspired by true events, a topic of great interest in Cuban society, where population aging rates are increasingly high.

In a post, Cubaactores added that the film "will narrate the story of a renowned film director who, after suffering from an illness that limits his mental capacities, is abandoned by colleagues and friends. However, unexpectedly, he finds support from one of his tenants, leading to the birth of a beautiful friendship that emerges as the heart of this film."

The film, produced by ICAIC and DMM FILM, will have Adriana Moya in production, Juan Carlos Rivero in charge of music, Alexander Escobar in cinematography, and Octavio Crespo in editing.
