The Cuban instrumentalist Harold López-Nussa began his musical journey through Europe today with his performance at the Leopolis Jazz Fest 2021, a Ukrainian event where he presented the flavor of Caribbean music.
The organizers of the festival described 'as honey to the ears', the presentation of the renowned pianist and composer from Havana López-Nussa along with improvisations combined with his brother, Ruy Adrián on drums and bassist Felipe Cabrera.
More than 300 followers on digital platforms such as Instagram praised the concert of the jazz trio that performed several songs from the most recent album, Te lo Dije, which stands out for its unprecedented fusion of jazz and other sounds such as songo, mozambique and reggaeton.
After a year and a half away from major stages due to Covid-19, the musicians captivated the European audience during the international open-air jazz festival that is held annually in the Ukrainian city of Lviv.
Founded in 2011, the event that appears on the list of the best European festivals according to the newspaper The Guardian has brought together a hundred world-class musicians, performing on three different stages in the city center.
