Actor and theater director Jazz Vilá is preparing a play as part of the transmedia project "Titoverse" created by Daniel Martín.
The union of Vilá and Daniel Martín will bring to the stage the piece that will premiere in 2024, in an attempt to add this artistic expression to the Titoverse universe and as a kind of continuation from another format to the television series Tito Reacciona.
The artist shared that he met Martín through actress Blanca Rosa Blanco, who is also part of the series.
"As we were talking, he told me his idea of continuing to expand the Titoverse universe and from that we decided to make this piece that is not children's theater, but rather it's for the whole family," Jazz elaborated.
Furthermore, he believed that "from my perspective and that of the company, it's a continuation of that children's theater that we do and which also hasn't been as publicized as works that are more for adults, but I think this is also going to be a kick-off that will place that children's line of Jazz Vilá Project at another level, another step."
As in each project of his authorship, the artist will continue surprising the audience with his creations because this will not be the exception. On this subject he said that "we can expect a lot of color, visuality, fantasy, magic" because Tito and his characters represent in some way that superhero that we all want to be.
"It's a character that defends a whole series of values that I share as a creator and I think all of that is going to be in the staging. So it's going to be a very dynamic and very fun show for the whole family. We're going to include music, magic and it's going to be a full-fledged spectacle," he added.
Regarding the role that he and Martín will play in this project, he indicated that "Daniel as creator of Titoverse and its universe is the backbone and what I'm going to give it is the magic that only I know in theater so that it has a level of quality as it requires."
Furthermore, although he considers that talking about a defined cast at this time would be premature, he did reveal that some technical roles would be Jose Cota in the character image design and Alexis Álvarez in the art direction.
Nevertheless, laughingly he added that "I always pull an ace out of my sleeve and I could just as easily bring Justin Bieber to play Tito," something that wouldn't surprise his audience.
The piece will feature five of the most recurring characters from the audiovisual series that will take the stage from a deeper and more psychological perspective, but without losing those tones of humor to play with themes such as love, fear, faith in oneself and inclusion, among other topics.
