Jasiel Rivero and his club in Spanish basketball league continue with good streak

Cuban Jasiel Rivero and his club Valencia Basket continued today with their good streak in the Liga Endesa 2021-2022 basketball tournament in Spain, where they defeated Bilbao Basket 100-84 to add their third consecutive success in that tournament.

The Valencians, who lost the first half 41-57, recovered after halftime with favorable scores of 31-16 and 28-11 in the third and fourth periods, respectively, achieving a great comeback.

This time Rivero was below his previous performances with only one point scored, in addition to capturing three rebounds and distributing one assist in almost 18 minutes of action on the court.

For the winners, who had the support of their fans at the Pabellón Fuente de San Luis, known as the Fonteta, Jaime Pradilla stood out on offense with 21 points, as well as Klemen Prepelic (19), Bojan Dubljevic (16) and Sam Van Rossom (13).

On the opposing side, Valentin Bigote stood out with 19 points, Ludvig Hakanson (15) and Ángel Delgado (14), according to the official competition website.

Moving on to collective statistics, the Bilbao team had better effectiveness in field goals and three-pointers, with 55.9 and 46.2 percent, respectively, although from the three-point line the home team made 15 baskets compared to 12 for their rivals.

Likewise under the boards, the orange team totaled 37 rebounds compared to 28 for their opponents, an element that undoubtedly helped them achieve victory.

With that result, Valencia Basket climbed to fourth place in the standings with seven wins and four losses; while Bilbao Basket (3-8) remains in 16th place among 18 teams.
