Jasiel Rivero shines again in the Endesa League of Spanish basketball. In matchday 22, the Cuban stood out in the 101-97 victory of the Heredia San Pablo Burgos club –fifth in the standings–, with an accumulated 15 points and six rebounds.
In that game, the Havana native spent 24 minutes and 17 seconds on the Nou Congostde court, where the Burgos team defeated BAXI Manresa. During that period he made two two-point shots and three three-point baskets, with two free throw points, for an efficiency rating of +19.
Rivero increased his scoring average to 11.5 points per game, after totaling 219 in 19 appearances, which makes him the third man on his team in that important indicator, with Serbian Dejan Kravic at the same rate, and behind American Thad McFadden (13.2) and Brazilian Vitor Benite (12.6).
In the same league, Santiago native Javier Jústiz, from Casademont Zaragoza, had only eight minutes of play in the match that his team lost to TD Systems Baskonia 59-86. The player from the City of Heroes went without scoring and got two rebounds, before coming out with discomfort in his left knee, after disputing a rebound at the start of the game.
The Endesa is dominated by Real Madrid, with a record of 17 wins and one loss, followed by Barcelona (17-3) and Iberostar Tenerife (17-4).
