Jacqueline Arenal nominated for Platino Awards for the series "Pálpito"

Cuban actress Jacqueline Arenal is part of the preselection for the tenth edition of the Platino Awards in the Best Supporting Actress category for her work in the Netflix series "Pálpito".

According to comments the artist made on her Instagram profile, she is "very happy and grateful for this nomination". Additionally, she congratulated "all my colleagues nominated for this project so beloved by all of us `Pálpito´".

The series, produced by CMO Producciones for the Netflix platform, achieved six preselections for the Platino Awards in the categories of Best Series (Clara María Ochoa, Ana Piñeres and Leonardo Padrón), Series Creator (Leonardo Padrón), Lead Actress (Ana Lucía Domínguez), Lead Actor (Michel Brown), Supporting Actress (Jacqueline Arenal) and Supporting Actor (Juan Fernández Sánchez).

"Pálpito" premiered in April 2022 and in it, Arenal brought to life the character of Greta Volcán, a loyal ally of her influential son-in-law, through whom she will rise to become the First Lady of the country. Volcán achieves this goal thanks to an arranged marriage with the presidential candidate and will do everything possible to not lose her economic stability, even if it means keeping her own daughter's silence.

Before the premiere, the Cuban actress commented on her social networks that she felt very happy with this character and with the series in general.

"The privilege is immense when I tell you about an impressive script full of strong emotions, about the impeccable production of Netflix Lat and CMO Producciones and about a wonderful cast of actors!!", Arenal wrote on Instagram.

The series, which is available in 190 countries and dubbed in 5 languages, tells the story of "a man determined to take revenge on the organ trafficking organization that murdered his wife, who accidentally gets involved with the woman who received his heart."

By May of last year, the Cuban actress returned to social networks to announce that a second season of "Pálpito" would be coming and that after its premiere it occupied the top ratings positions on the streaming platform.

Despite this resounding success just days after the first season premiered and the quick announcement of a second, the exact release date has still not been revealed, and according to international media, work has not yet begun on the production of the new project.
