Ivette Cepeda performs this weekend at Teatro Martí

Ivette Cepeda and her group Reflexión begin this weekend the new concert season, with the proposal "Two by Two", at the Teatro Martí on January 10 and 12 (7:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., respectively).

Artists very dear to the singer have accepted the invitation to this encounter: the duos Iris, Rey Ugarte and Flor and Buena Fe.

The song to love returns as the central theme of this concert. Love without formulas, infinite.

Among the composers chosen for this occasion are Martha Valdés, Israel Rojas, Pedro Guerra, Liuba María Hevia, Augusto Blanca, Amaury Pérez, Milton Nascimento, Jorge Drexler and Karel García.

"The beginning of this season at the Martí is the fulfillment of a lifetime wish, the theater of my childhood, the one of great challenges, the theater of my first look at the world of art," comments Ivette.

In the year that is ending, Ivette Cepeda and Reflexión completed a total of 75 performances in the Cuban capital, 12 concerts in different provinces of the country and nine international ones in Mexico, Canary Islands and Colombia.

Currently, they are in the final production phase of "Ten Years in Concert", an audiovisual that celebrates their trajectory as a soloist along with Reflexión; and La Rosa de Jericó.

The year 2019 was of great joy for Ivette and Reflexión, as they received important recognitions for their contributions to national culture, such as the Premio La Bella Cubana and the Distinción Paquelé, both of national character and granted by the UNEAC of Matanzas and Sancti Spíritus, respectively.

Likewise, they were awarded the Premio Coliseo, for Best Stage Production of 2018 offered at the Teatro Principal, of Ciego de Ávila, and the Premio Súmate for the video clip País.

Ivette assures: "Then, 2020 invites us to continue focusing our gaze on the truth, to set our eyes on the true path of singing with excellence, to fight to make the music that goes to hearts and carry it strengthened, with faith, because we have filled our chests with love, with care in not contaminating ourselves with falsehood. There is much good to share".
