The Cuban motivator, writer, entrepreneur, and presenter Ismael Cala will join the Mega TV team starting Monday, March 30.

From that day on, Cala will temporarily replace Oscar Haza, whose program Ahora con Oscar Haza airs Monday through Friday at 8 p.m.

According to the network's statement, his incorporation into Mega is in response to efforts to maintain the level of information and quality analysis in light of the advance of the coronavirus pandemic.

"MegaTV called on me and my answer is yes, because now it's time for each of us to do our part, in the midst of the greatest crisis (that has been lived) since World War II. I do this from a sense of commitment, respect for my esteemed Oscar Haza, and a vocation to serve in the most difficult times for the community," explained Cala, who writes a weekly column in the Nuevo Herald on topics related to personal development.

Oscar Haza, the host of the program, has undertaken preventive quarantine on medical recommendation, but will continue broadcasting his radio program from his home on Z-92.3 FM, which airs from 6 to 10 a.m.

Apart from his work in television and the foundation that bears his name, in recent years Cala has distinguished himself as an entrepreneur, speaker, and social motivator. Among his eight bestsellers on topics of leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal development stand out El poder de escuchar, Despierta con Cala, and Beat the Curve, co-written with Brian Tracy.

"We appreciate Ismael Cala's commitment to MegaTV and his important collaboration in covering the pandemic," said José R. Pérez, Vice President of Programming and Production at MegaTV.
