Viengsay Valdés Teaches Master Class at the National Ballet of Panama

The prima ballerina and general director of the National Ballet of Cuba, Viengsay Valdés, taught a master class on Tuesday, July 23rd at the National Ballet of Panama, the BNC reported in a statement.

The class was attended by Maruja Herrera, Minister of Culture of the isthmian nation; Graciela Guillén, artistic director of the National Ballet of Panama; and Gloria Barrios, director of the National Dance Company, among other personalities, including instructors Pilar Vega, Alexa Gutiérrez, Juan Carlos Costoya, and María Elena Jiménez.

According to the BNC statement, Viengsay Valdés' presence facilitated conversations for a collaboration plan between the dance institutions of Panama and Cuba, which would open a new chapter in the close relations between both companies.
