A seminar honoring the centennial of the renowned master of Cuban modern dance, Ramiro Guerra, closes this October 8th, after sessions held online. The meeting is part of the third edition of the event De la Memoria Fragmentada, organized every two years by the Faculty of Dance Art at the University of the Arts (ISA).

Cubarte identifies as digital spaces for the event the website of the Ministry of Culture, where interventions by notable researchers and scholars of Guerra's work are gathered, in this virtual space that revives the work and great contributions of the great choreographer and master of Cuban modern dance.

"The event, which promotes dialogue and the confrontation of viewpoints around dance creation, this time does not bring together in person dancers, choreographers, theorists, teachers and dance critics, due to the impossibility of physical contact, but through the virtual space recognized specialists dialogue around the life and work of one of the indispensable references of Cuban modern dance: Master Ramiro Guerra," expressed Cubarte.

On this occasion, playwright and critic, Norge Espinosa, brings us an approach to that first stage of his artistic creation with his work El decálogo de la apocalipsis. Espinosa is one of the most thorough researchers of the work of the author of numerous texts in the contemporary dance landscape.

Other outstanding studies of Ramiro Guerra's work, carried out by Jorge Brooks and Bárbara Balbuena, who propose in this session an approach to one of his most recognized works: Suite Yoruba, provide a closer look at the dance creation of the also recognized theorist and researcher.
