A tribute to Cuban trova music and, especially, to the work of Pablo Milanés was represented in the concert offered by Cuban Haydeé Milanés at the La Caridad theater in Santa Clara.
Milanés, one of those who was part of the ICAIC's Experimental Sound Group (GESI), is dedicated to this edition of the Longina festival.
During the presentation, emblematic themes of Cuban music were performed such as Tal vez, by Juan Formell and Habáname, by Carlos Varela, as well as songs by Pablo, included in Amor, Haydeé's most recent album.
It is always a pleasure to return to Santa Clara and to be for the first time in a festival like "Longina", which brings together a very cultured and specialized audience; the Cuban singer declared to the press.
Likewise, she explained that the CD, presented this Saturday, had two moments for its creation, one that includes songs as a duet with Pablo and another with important national and foreign musicians, such as Fito Páez, Pedro Aznar, Silvia Pérez Cruz and Francisco Céspedes, to name just a few.
This 24th edition of the National Festival of Troubadours Longina Sings to Corona reaches its last day of activities with varied proposals that consolidate it as a standard-bearer of author's song in the center of the Island.
On Sunday, a tribute concert to Silvio Rodríguez was held, starring young bards, including Yaily Orozco, Yeni Turiño, Pedrito O'Reilly and Tobías Alfonso.
