On February 12, artists and family members will gather at the WiZink Center (Movistar Arena de Madrid) to pay tribute to singer-songwriter Pablo Milanés. "Eternamente Pablo" is the name of the concert, and it is part of the Festival de las Estrellas program.
So far, Andrés Suárez, Ara Malikian, Estrella Morente, José Mercé, Martirio, Raúl Rodríguez, Massiel, Pasión Vega, Víctor Manuel, Lynn Milanés and Salvador Sobral are some of the 15 artists who have confirmed their attendance at the event.
Under the direction of Miguel Núñez and Esteban Puebla in the orchestra, the invited artists will review the best-known and most beloved songs from Pablo's musical repertoire, born in Bayamo in 1943.
The author of "Yolanda," "El breve espacio en que no estás," "Comienzo y final de una verde mañana," and other iconic songs of Cuban songwriting and folk music, would turn 82 next February 24.
His family wanted to pay tribute once again to his life and work, which Pablo last shared personally with Cubans at what would be his last major concert, which took place on June 21, 2022 at the Ciudad Deportiva de La Habana.
Tickets for "Eternamente Pablo" are now on sale.
