The journalist and writer Marta Rojas Rodríguez will be given a well-deserved tribute at the Buenos Aires Book Fair.
The event will take place on Friday the 13th, and will be organized by the Chaco Institute of Culture, jointly with the city of Havana, the Ibero-American Cultural Association (Huelva, Spain), the Embassy of Cuba in Argentina, and the publishers Contexto (Chaco) and Corprens of Córdoba.
The Chaco día por día media outlet recalls the death of the author of El equipaje amarillo, just days after the second Argentine edition of her novel Las campanas de Juana, la Loca was presented, published by the Iberletras collection (Contexto-ACI).
The Chaco stand, 3117, will host the tribute, which will be attended by the Cuban ambassador, Pedro Pablo Prada; the president of the Chaco Institute of Culture and writer, Francisco Tete Romero, and the writer and journalist Pedro Jorge Solans.
About the distinguished narrator, Solans, a promoter of her works, has said: "Marta is a master of the letters of our Latin America," and in various presentations and interviews has emphasized the words of Alejo Carpentier, defining her as "an agile and talented writer, of profound journalistic vocation, keen insight, direct and precise style, with the gift of showing many things in few words."
