A tribute to the renowned Cuban pianist Emiliano Salvador, on the 70th anniversary of his birth, is one of the spaces proposed by the International Jazz Colloquium, as part of the activities of the 26th edition of the Jazz Plaza Festival.

With musicologist Neris González Bello as moderator, this Tribute session took place in recognition of Emiliano Salvador's work, with Juan Manuel Ceruto, Roberto Carcasés, and Esteban Insausti participating as panelists.

In a second moment of the colloquium, the panel "How to Think Cuban Jazz?" was held, with Orlando "Maraca" Valle, Alain Pérez, and Gloria Ochoa as guests at the meeting.

The "We Are With You" concerts presented Síntesis, Eduardo Sandoval Real Project, and Mezcla.

The versatile musician Alain Pérez taught the day's master class, which is titled "A Journey to the Roots: Cuban Bass in Jazz – Part 1 and 2."

Meanwhile, in the "Jazzistas in the Clip" space, audiovisual materials from Ruy López-Nussa, Kono and the Chicos de Cuba, Brenda Navarrete, and Degnis Bofill could be enjoyed.

For the final proposals of the day, the Jazz Descarga by Carlos Miyares is offered, with the touch of popular music by Jose Luis Cortés "El Tosco," a concert by Rodrigo Sosa and the Quenística, and the night will end with Hot House meets Havana.

Due to the epidemiological situation caused by COVID-19, the organizers of the International Jazz Plaza Festival decided to hold this edition online for the first time in the history of the event.

Thus, concerts, as well as master classes, sessions, and panels corresponding to the International Jazz Colloquium, will be broadcast through the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Culture, more than a hundred Facebook pages and Streaming Cuba, and the Clave Channel on Cuban television.
