The troubadour Mario Darias will be the guest of the cultural program Diálogos a viva voz which, under the direction of journalist and critic Fernando Rodríguez Sosa, will take place, as a tribute to the centennial of poet Jesús Orta Ruiz (Indio Naborí), on Saturday, September 17, at two in the afternoon, at Álbum Café, in Artemisa.
At this gathering, sponsored by UNEAC and EGREM of Artemisa, the Dúo Darias, oral storyteller Caterine de la Cruz, and journalist and writer Miguel Terry Valdespino will also be guests.
In the time reserved for poetry, a recording of the poem "Viajera peninsular" will be heard, in the voice of its author, Jesús Orta Ruiz (Indio Naborí), whose birth centennial is being commemorated this year.
Diálogos a viva voz –which began in October 2019– aims, through the art of conversation, to hold a monthly gathering with the best of contemporary Cuban intellectuality, thereby contributing to enriching human spirituality.
The host of Diálogos a viva voz, Fernando Rodríguez Sosa –awarded the National Prize for Cultural Journalism José Antonio Fernández Castro— maintains several literary promotion spaces on Cuban radio and television, as well as in the Havana bookstore Fayad Jamís and, for twenty years, developed the cultural program Entre puentes in Matanzas.
