The premiere of the music video will take place next December 6 at the Ermita de la Caridad in Miami.

Haydée Milanés and maestro Pavel Urkiza have joined together to launch a version of "Virgen Mambisa", the song dedicated to the Patroness of Cuba, the Virgin of Charity.

The premiere of the music video "Virgen Mambisa [Exiliada]", in which Alfredo Triff and the Coral Cubana also participate, will take place next December 6 at the Ermita de la Caridad in Miami.

"Join us in this tribute to the Virgin of Charity and let us ask her for the freedom of Cuba!", reads a post by Cuban filmmaker Eliecer Jiménez Almeida who is the producer of the audiovisual.

According to the Ermita de la Caridad website "this launch is a celebration of Cuban culture, faith and hope, and a tribute to the Virgin of Charity of Cobre, who has been the beacon of love and unity for Cubans throughout history".

"Virgen Mambisa", composed by Rogelio Zelada and Orlando Rodríguez, is a song that has accompanied many generations of Cubans and "has become a prayer for love, peace and freedom".

Once again music becomes the vehicle to express the feelings of thousands of Cubans in exile.

Each year the Cuban community in Miami comes to the Ermita de la Caridad to show their devotion to the virgin. Last September 8, the sanctuary hosted several Cuban artists in exile in an artistic vigil dedicated to the Virgin of Charity.
