Haydée Milanés fulfills her dream of making a duet with Meme Solís

Last weekend, Cuban singer Haydée Milanés made one of her dreams come true, singing alongside maestro Meme Solís. Without a doubt, this is a new virtual presentation that the Havana-born artist offered from her home to delight her audience during quarantine.



Therefore, on this occasion Haydée Milanés showed us the exquisite collaboration she made with this distinguished pianist from Sancti Spíritus.



Consequently, Meme Solís did not hesitate in selecting Haydée Milanés among his accompanists, whose talent he praised before performing the song. "I'm going to start this one with a girl who has been making waves with a style that has placed her within this beautiful genre," he said.



Furthermore, Meme dedicated this performance to the audience, which he carried out from his home in New York, while Haydée Milanés was in Havana.



Likewise, during the clip, Haydée Milanés expressed that she was honored to be part of this Meme Solís project and thanked him for considering her in it. However, when sharing the material on her social networks, she confessed that this is one of her greatest professional dreams.



Furthermore, the singer expressed the respect and admiration she feels for this emblematic Cuban musician, and how much she enjoyed making this song with him. Undoubtedly, the Havana-born artist was immensely moved by this pleasant professional challenge.



"Today I am fulfilling a dream, sharing music with a great man, who represents so much for Cuban culture," expressed the Caribbean interpreter. "With great joy and emotion, I share with you a song by José Antonio Méndez that I just recorded with this immense artist," she added next.



Also, after admitting her "lifelong" devotion to Meme Solís, Haydée Milanés explained why with many more compliments. Therefore, she highlighted his virtues as a person and symbol of Cuban music, defining him as a "Great composer, pianist and interpreter".



Finally, she noted that "he carries intact in his heart, the essence of song, the feeling, the Cuban night and the joy of being a happy man".
