Cuban singers Haila María Mompié and Alain Pérez offered a great concert in Rome, Italy that was organized by the Cuban embassy in the European country and that also had the logistical support of Italian companies and associations.

The concert was attended by "representatives from sectors of Italian society, especially the cultural sector, as well as diplomatic officials and United Nations organizations based in this capital," according to Cuban press.

Among the exponents of Italian culture who were invited to the evening were the well-known actor Franco Nero and singers Albano and Fiorella Mannoia. The venue was the home of the Cuban ambassador to Italy, José Carlos Rodríguez.

The concert included almost the entirety of the Cuban singer's repertoire, who impressed with her powerful voice, while Alain offered a virtuosity of talent when performing both vocally and on guitar, bass, piano and percussion.

In thanking those who contributed to the organization of the concert and the presence of the guests, Cuban ambassador José Carlos Rodríguez praised the professional quality of Haila and Alain, whom he described as "two greats of Cuban music" and "true bearers of the most authentic of our people."

Rodríguez noted that with Haila's concert, who in the coming weeks will perform on other stages in this country, a new path begins because, he said, "this residence should be above all the residence of Cuban culture, of the Cuban people" and a space to deepen the bonds of friendship between Cuba and Italy.
