Haila will make her acting debut in the new Cuban telenovela by Lester Hamlet

These days Cuban singer Haila María Mompié has been at the center of social media.

First came the rumors about the possibility of her participating in the next edition of the Masterchef Celebrity España 5 competition after she shared several photographs on her personal Instagram account wearing an apron with the competition's logo.

Now the controversial "Diva del pueblo" will make her television debut through the new Cuban telenovela under the direction of Lester Hamlet according to an announcement the director himself made on his official Facebook account.

"The novel will also be an opportunity to entrust my sister Haila Mompié to present herself as an actress. It will be a pleasure and a celebration to see her grow and show herself to her audience from another perspective. Welcome! Thank you for the pleasure of your smile and your Cubanness", Lester wrote in his post.
