After seven years without releasing any music productions, Gloria Estefan announces her new album, 'Brazil305', with 'Cuando hay amor', a single with a samba rhythm that she describes as "a musical celebration of the singular power of love in all its expressions".
The album, which will be released worldwide on August 13, will feature four unreleased tracks, including 'Cuando hay amor', and also new versions of Estefan's "most beloved hits" fused with Brazilian rhythms, according to Sony Music stated this Friday in a statement that includes statements from the Cuban-American artist.
The first preview of 'Brazil305', available on all digital platforms, is a mixture of Samba de Roda, a musical variant originating from the Brazilian state of Bahia, with "rhythms and instruments that sound throughout South America, especially in Colombia", explains Gloria Estefan. 'Cuando hay amor' is a production by Emilio Estefan, winner of 19 Grammy Awards, and by Nicolás Tovar and Andrea López.
Beyond the music, the music video also pays homage to Brazilian culture, as it highlights "the movements and singing of the beautiful Bahians, who are important historical representatives of samba culture", in the words of the singer.
With over one hundred million records sold worldwide, seven Grammys and thirty-eight songs placed at number one on the Billboard charts to her credit, Gloria Estefan maintains her place as one of the most successful artists in the history of Latin music.
