The list of nominees for Premios Juventud 2023 was finally revealed this Tuesday and four Cuban artists, Gente de Zona, Lenier Mesa, Camila Cabello and Aymée Nuviola, were included in several of the 44 categories competing in this edition.

Camila Cabello brought home two nominations, as she appears in the Best Pop Album category with her album Familia, and in Pop Track of the Year alongside Colombian Camilo for the song "Ambulancia".

Just like last year, Gente de Zona managed to sneak in among those aspiring to become Group or Duo of the Year.

However, this was not the only nomination for the Cuban duo, as they also got one for Tropical Mix for their collaboration with Don Omar and Wisin "Soy Yo".

Lenier Mesa also returned as a nominee again, but this time alongside Tekashi 6ix9ine, Ángel Dior and Bullin 47 with the popular song "Wapae", included in the Best Reggaeton Collaboration category.

The Cuban could also see his work recognized as a composer in another category, as Marc Anthony's album Pa´lla Voy, for which he composed several songs, is nominated for Best Tropical Album.

Another big surprise was for Aymée Nuviola and that song with Spanish artist Melendi that moved many Cubans "Pan para Yolanda", nominated in the Tropical Mix category.

Until June 26, the public will be able to vote for their favorite artists but it won't be until July 20 that the winners will be announced at a gala at the Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Premios Juventud is celebrating 20 years in this edition and will have the motto "Express yourself your way", and it also debuted 15 new categories.

Last year several Cuban artists were also among the nominees, in addition to Gente de Zona, Camila Cabello and Lenier Mesa were Ovi, the duo Ibeyi and actress Livia Brito.
