Gente de Zona Fills Salamanca's Plaza Mayor at 2026 Ferias y Fiestas

Cuban duo Gente de Zona — Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom — packed Salamanca's Plaza Mayor on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, with a free 10 p.m. concert as part of the city's Ferias y Fiestas program. Local coverage said it was the first 2026 festival date to completely fill the historic square.

The city council had billed the show as a centerpiece of the fair. The duo's fee — €144,500, the highest on the Ferias lineup — topped even Europe's 2025 payout. The set mixed hits such as "Bailando" and "La Gozadera" with 2026 previews including "Se le pasa" and "Isla Viva," the latter with Juan Magán.

Formed in Havana and now a staple of tropical urban pop, Gente de Zona brings Latin Grammy and Billboard Latin Music Awards into a 25-year run. The Salamanca stop fits their 2026 European activity as they prepare a new album sharing the title "Isla Viva."
