Gente de Zona Among the Finalists for the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards

The finalists for the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards in each of the categories have already been announced, and representing Cuba once again is the group Gente de Zona as a leader of Cuban music on a global level in these times. The nomination for Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom comes in the category of "Tropical Artist of the Year, Duo or Group."

In that category, they face major exponents of Latin and international music such as Aventura, Monchy and Alexandra, Grupo Niche, and La Sonora Dinamita, all with an extremely fabulous musical trajectory. The Cubans could not be happier with their nomination and on their Instagram profile left evidence of this by writing a message that exalts Cuban music.

"My people, very happy and honored to announce that we are once again finalists in the category 'Tropical Artist of the Year, Duo or Group' at the 2024 Billboard Awards," they wrote on the social network where they have more than 2 million followers. "We couldn't be happier to represent our music! Up with Cuba!," concluded those who have left an indelible mark of successes since their music catapulted to international stages in the past decade.

The news comes at a crucial moment in their career as an artist and as a person, and at 45 years old, which he turned on August 21st, he shows no signs of fatigue but rather continues making music for all Latinos and the world, as well as for those who have always shown their eternal support: Cubans.

Gente de Zona has six Latin Grammy Awards, a dozen Billboard Awards, and an extensive number of performances at festivals and international venues, continuing to consolidate its identity where the highest sounds of Latin music resonate. While this news should not surprise them, they did show gratitude and emotion on their social networks.

In this edition of the awards, Colombian singer Karol G once again stands out as the one with the most nominations with 17 in different categories such as Artist of the Year, Top Latin Album, and Tour of the Year, which recently concluded at the Santiago Bernabéu, home of the Real Madrid football club.

Among those sharing the podium of the Awards in terms of nominations are Mexican singer Peso Pluma and Puerto Rican known as Bad Bunny with 15 nominations each, while Karol G's boyfriend, Feid, presents himself with 11 mentions.

The live ceremony will take place on October 17th from the city of Miami and will be broadcast on October 20th on Telemundo. Below are each of the categories and their finalists for this 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards:
