The spiritist Fréderich Cepeda became last Saturday the tenth player to connect more than 300 home runs in the national baseball series.
Only one home run was missing for him to reach the respectable round figure, but the tough two-handed batter hit two and gave himself the achievement of surpassing the mark in a single day.
"The hit was going to come out, I just had to have the possibility of making good contact with the ball. I've already reached the figure. One thinks of everything when these good things happen, about family, about the people who have had something to do with your career," declared the outfielder to the national television.
This event occurs only days after the mythical 24, Olympic champion of Athens 2004 and silver medalist in the I World Baseball Classic, set a difficult record for national baseball, upon receiving seven consecutive walks.
Cepeda's offensive display on Sunday (5 RBIs) occurred, unfortunately, in a lost cause for his team, defeated 10-15 against Isla de la Juventud.
