Francisco Gattorno is in the new version of MasterChef Celebrity

Cuban actor Francisco Gattorno, who is currently living in Mexico, is one of the 20 stars taking part in the new edition of the MasterChef Celebrity show from the Aztec nation.

Gattorno will try to fuse the food from his country of origin with Mexican cuisine, a country he arrived in several decades ago.

The actor came close to saying goodbye to the program this week as he failed to convince the judges of the competition with the recipes he prepared, but he passed the first elimination challenge and managed to save himself, so he will continue in the show.

The Cuban asked for the support of his fans and followers on social media to continue advancing in the competition.

"Here we are. Testing recipes. Support me on social media with the hashtag: #teamgattorno", he wrote on his official profiles.

According to a publication from the program itself, Gattorno loves cooking for his friends on weekends. In the artist's words, mealtime during the day is something sacred to him, it is something he enjoys very much and is one of the great pleasures of life.

The actor confessed that he loves cooking, especially for his friends, although he doesn't usually do it very often. On the program, he said that he loves seeing the face of his friends when they try his cooking.

I think it is one of the most beautiful ways to spend time with friends and have a good time, he said.

MasterChef Celebrity Mexico began on August 21st last and airs every Sunday.

Gattorno came to Cuban screens in the 1980s, with the film A Girlfriend for David, which became a cult movie in the nation. In 1994 he participated in the feature film Strawberry and Chocolate, also among the most acclaimed films of Cuban cinema in recent decades. After that he caught the attention of several telenovela production companies, in which he began to achieve success and recognition worldwide.
