Several works by Cuban artist Nelson Ramírez are on display at a center in Shanghai, in eastern China, as part of an exhibition on contemporary photography.
Until the 19th, those who visit the Shanghai International Convention Center will be able to enjoy the works of the Caribbean creator and colleagues from Germany, displayed there under the name 'Reconstruction'.
Ramírez was director of the Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Center and also headed the Fototeca de Cuba for more than 10 years.
In 2006 he received the National Curating Award for the exhibition 'The City and Photography, Havana 1900-2005'.
He participated with his photographs and artistic videos in important global events, while his works are part of public collections of the National Council of Plastic Arts of Cuba, Lehigh University in the United States, the Museum of Modern Art in Luxembourg, and the Westlich gallery in Austria.
