Rosa Aurora Freijanes, one of the great fighters for the freedom of the Five, dies

"Rosa Aurora Freijanes has passed away, Rosita, who, like the warrior she always was, fought for her health over the last years. The Five owe her much of our freedom, and we will remember her always. Rest in peace sister!" With this message on one of his Facebook accounts, Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, announced the sad news.

From the beginning of the legal, political and media battle for the return of the Five Heroes to the homeland, Rosa Aurora was deeply involved in the struggle as the wife of Fernando González, one of the Five. Together with the rest of the wives and mothers, she made the cause known in several countries and international forums.
