Cuban actress and presenter Sarita Reyes dies at age 84

On the morning of May 6, the actress, television host and model, Sarita Reyes, passed away in Havana at the age of 84. Converted into a fundamental figure of Cuban Television, Sarita was host for many years of the popular program Detrás de la fachada, alongside actor Enrique Almirante.

She also ventured into cinema with the film De cierta manera, directed by Sara Gómez, and sharing the cast with artists of the caliber of Mario Balmaseda, Yolanda Cuéllar, Mario Limonta, Isaura Mendoza, and Bobby Carcasés.

The distinguished actress was awarded on several occasions, merits among which stands out the Diploma Nicolás Guillén, which distinguishes the trajectory of Cuban artists with artistic and social values.

With more than 50 years dedicated to television and theater, her professionalism, charisma and Cuban spirit earned her the affection of her people, who today bid her farewell as one of the most representative figures of Cuban Television.
