Recently, he was part of the cast of the song and music video Música Vital, together with Omara Portuondo and the duo Buena Fe.
By family decision, his body will not be laid in state and his burial will be through private family ceremony.
Messages from some Cuban artists:
Randy Malcom, member of Gente de Zona: "Today I wake up with this news that has broken my heart. Today we lose a great exponent of the urban genre at only 30 years old. May you rest in peace, may God have you in glory brother. Thank you for giving us so much music to all of us Cubans, your legacy will remain valid forever".
Alain Daniel: "This sad news has changed my day, I had to call a good friend because I couldn't believe it, it seems so incredible to me as if just yesterday I congratulated my mother on her birthday. In recent years he never forgot Father's Day, my birthday, Christmas or any other date or moment to let me know he was looking out for me. With so much youth, with so much to do, with such a beautiful family, I cannot believe this is really happening. My deepest condolences to his wife, his beautiful daughter, family and friends in this unexpected, incredible and sad departure".
