Mexican Daniel Ramírez defeated Yosbany Veitía in a bout that ended the streak of 15 consecutive victories by Domadores de Cuba in professional boxing.
Ramírez, known as "Tubo", won by a verdict of 2-1 in a 118-pound division fight scheduled for eight rounds in Ciudad Juárez.
The judges who saw the local fighter win issued verdicts of 78-74 and 77-74, which decided his fifteenth success in 21 outings as a professional.
Veitía, world champion in 2017, thus experienced an adverse debut in that type of scenario, although one of the officials voted 78-74 in his favor.
"The home advantage made a difference," a witness to the bout told JIT, which was recorded as the finale of the season experienced since May 20th by the Cuban franchise.
