Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás will face Errol Spence Jr. on April 16 in the welterweight division, in a card held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. These days, during training sessions of the Cuban champion alongside his trainer, Ismael Salas, both commented to the press their impressions regarding the fight.

From his gym in Las Vegas, Yordenis Ugás acknowledged being ready for the fight and is confident in a good result against Spence Jr. "I am extremely ready for this fight and to give the fans a great show on April 16. My preparation has been impeccable," said the Caribbean fighter in words reproduced by El Nuevo Herald.

Ugás referred to part of his record on the most demanding rings and recalled his victory against Filipino idol, Manny Pacquiao. "The fight against Pacquiao was an unforgettable night. My life changed even more because of that fight. I have always maintained my humility and proved to everyone who the WBA champion is. Now I am about to continue making history," highlighted the aforementioned source.

"The fact that Spence is the favorite doesn't matter to me at all. Pacquiao was also considered the favorite. I have always been the one coming from below and that doesn't affect me at all. People can expect to see me fight like a warrior. I will leave my soul in the ring on April 16," said Yordenis Ugás.

Regarding this, his trainer Salas referred to Ugás's chances against Spence Jr., since the latter has not been the same in his recent appearances, although I want us to face the best version of Errol Spence Jr., since I want people to enjoy a great spectacle."

Yordenis Ugás appears determined to rise once more above any rival and made known his ambitious goal in case of defeating his opponent in a fight from which the winner would leave with three titles of the four most important ones.
