The renowned performer Ivette Cepeda will be granted the Special Prize La Bella Cubana in Matanzas, which recognizes women of notable values in the field of music.
Alfonso Llorens, vice president of UNEAC in the province, explained that the award will be conferred on December 6, during the ceremony for the presentation of the José White Prize, the most important award given by the Music branch of UNEAC to creators in the territory for lifetime achievement.
On the social network Facebook and various press outlets, memories prevail of the great reception by the public of the so-called Athens of Cuba to Cepeda at the Teatro Sauto, a month ago, during the presentation of the performer together with the group Reflexión.
Miriam Ramos, Omara Portuondo, Tomasita Quiala, Celina González, Argelia Fragoso and Agneris Cánovas, are among the artists who received the Special Prize La Bella Cubana in previous editions.
