Cuban pianist and composer Frank Fernández received praise from specialized German critics after successfully performing a concert in the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche hall in Munich.
When Fernández concentrates on the keyboard of his Steinway grand piano: communication with the audience could not be more intense, thus described the encounter German organist and orchestrator Matthias Keller, one of the most notable musical specialists in that country.
He is one of the few pianists of international prestige who can make a concert hall vibrate from the first moment and ensure that the musical message reaches even the listener in the last seat, he added.
Keller's words, published on Radio Bavaria in the city, presaged an upcoming visit by the Cuban musician and encouraged the organizers of the event to seek a larger auditorium for the reunion.
For her part, violist Monika Henschel thanked him wholeheartedly for the concert, valued as an unforgettable experience that has moved and inspired us so deeply that we will live with it for a long time.
'Frank Fernández deserves our gratitude and our great admiration. What an exceptional musician he is, besides being a great composer. We are already looking forward to his next concert in Munich,' affirmed the also academic.
Likewise, the editor of the Second German Television, Ursula Hopf, expressed 'What a wonderful concert, what a sensitive pianist, we discovered Cuba that night!'
The performance filled the ancient church, witness to a night of musical excellence and the cheers of the audience that acclaimed the virtuosity of the maestro.
The positive opinions about Frank Fernández's performance deserve double joy for the performer since Munich is a cosmopolitan city, of great competition and with a varied concert program that brings together musicians and orchestras of worldwide fame.
