Coralita Veloz and Tahimí Alvariño's trip in a "polaquito"

Great anticipation has been generated by the premiere of a trailer for a short film that stars two notable Cuban actresses traveling in a "polaquito": Coralita Veloz and Tahimí Alvariño.

Aboard a Polski Fiat, known on the island as a "polaquito", the mishaps experienced by Coralita Veloz and Tahimí Alvariño unfold in the latest short film starring both actresses, mother and daughter.

It is the short film "Las Polacas", with a duration of about 24 minutes, directed by Carlos Barba and produced by the well-known Cuban presenter Abel Álvarez, which has generated great excitement among his followers.

On June 11th, Tahimí Alvariño wrote on Facebook: "It makes me happy to know that our short 'Las Polacas' is about to be born, no less than at the Athens Film Festival. My mother and I, being mother and daughter again!".

A brief review on Facebook from the group Cubaactores (Cuban Actors and Actresses) indicates that "the bond between them does not prevent the turbulences of a family and a country from emerging. Immersed in conversation, the kilometers that separate them from an inevitable destiny are shortened".
