Cimafunk's CunCunPra challenge already has a winner

Cuban singer Cimafunk closed out 2020 with an EP (Extended Play) called "Cun Cun Prá", whose main single bears the same name and has been on all music platforms since December 10th.

The EP has a total of five tracks and according to experts the new material invites people to shake off the melancholy of quarantine. And many did just that. This is the case of three generations of Cuban women residing in Spain, who positioned themselves at number 1 in the contest promoted by Cimafunk.

The winners were announced this Friday, after several weeks in which the challenge went viral and got many Cubans from all over the world dancing and having fun. The popular Cuban singer said on his social networks that he had surprises for the top three places, which include Cimafunk promotional products, concert tickets and backstage access.

The jury of the aforementioned contest was made up of none other than dancers and choreographers Lía Rodríguez and Micho, actress Camila Arteche and comedian Alexis Valdés.

"I'm very proud of Cun Cun Prá. I love the songs and I'm eager to see my fans' reaction. It was fun working with so many incredible artists, composing, recording and filming videos. Now things are more complicated with Covid, but that makes it even more rewarding.

And I know my people need some happiness, something to help them get up and dance, and Cun Cun Prá is what they need," said artist Cimafunk about his new hit.

At the beginning of the year, the same singer heated up his profile by re-sharing Arteche's video under the words "Dale Cun Cun Prá @camila_arteche. All the way down. This smells like a Challenge". Even singer Aymée Nuviola commented to them: "How beautiful and how well you dance girl, God bless that flavor".

The winner was the Ibañez family from Spain who took first prize in Cimafunk's contest promoting his song "Cun Cun Pra". The three Cuban women joined the challenge and in very little time achieved almost 10,000 reactions on Instagram. The contest results were announced on Saturday, January 16th after summoning dozens of Cubans to the call. Cimafunk's catchy rhythm attracted Cubans of all generations and from all over.
