Dr. C. Calixto Machado Curbelo

On the 190th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Carlos J. Finlay and the 90th of the traditional #oracionfinlay, the event was held with a lecture given by Dr. C. Francisco Calixto Machado Curbelo, Full Member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba, notable specialist in 2nd degree Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, and Special Prize "For a Life's Work" 2023.

At the event, recognitions were presented to 31 authors of scientific books, who have contributed to the dissemination of knowledge in #Science, #Technology and #innovation.

The event took place in the Paraninfo of the historic headquarters of the Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Cs. Luis Velázquez Pérez, President of the Academy of Sciences, emphasized the importance of the Institution continuing to highlight, and diversify, recognition of merit and scientific results, as the best tribute to those who continue the work of #Finlay
