The Cuban singer based in Mexico, Lenny de la Rosa, has revealed that he wishes to occupy the place left by the Prince of Song, José José.
"I had the opportunity to sing El Triste and Ya lo pasado, pasado, by José José, so it was always wonderful to perform José José, but it is very complicated, he set the bar very high," said de la Rosa for the program De Primera Mano.
The also actor, model and dancer, when asked if he wanted to be the successor of the Mexican star, responded: "Totally, well who doesn't positively envy a career like the maestro's, he left us a wonderful legacy of interpretation, of strength and obviously that today he is among us is a great blessing".
Lenny de la Rosa, who was born in Cuba in 1983, began to venture into the world of music in Mexico as a backing vocalist for the renowned singer Gloria Trevi. In addition, he participated in the program Bailando por un sueño alongside Charlene Arian.
In the world of acting, he has played roles in several telenovelas, the most well-known being Triunfo del amor, in which he shared credits with William Levy; Libre para amarte and Yo no creo en los hombres.
Lenny has also ventured into urban music, and this year he released the songs Besando Otra Boca and Nadie me lo hace como tú.
