Aldo Rodríguez Baquero, Al2 or El Aldeano, premiered his song Sueños last Friday, an intimate composition that speaks of illusions, fears, sacrifices, achievements, and his great dream: the freedom of Cuba.

In the song, the rapper begins by taking a journey through his life and artistic trajectory, the obstacles he had to overcome and the problems he surpassed through hard work and inspiration from his children, such as overcoming drug addiction, an addiction that nearly withered all his dreams, as he confesses in the song.

"In a McDonald's I opened my YouTube channel...I never stopped, with patience and willpower, because I always had talent, but this takes discipline (...) I have fallen, but if I'm not speaking to you from the floor, it's because I'm on my feet, exactly as God made me," he expresses in his song. "Easier to the moon by bike than by bus to Real 70," he said when referring to the studio where Los Aldeanos recorded their songs for years in Cuba.

The rapper also referred to "betrayals and ungrateful people" and to "many sellouts disguised as friends who steal information." The chorus of the song is dedicated to dreaming of a free Cuba: "Everybody hands up, La Aldea is in the house, today we're going to imagine that we're at the [Revolution] Plaza. Díaz-Canel tied up crying before the masses, while freedom embraces the people of Cuba." "Hands up because nothing can stop this, if we have the mambí in our DNA," affirms another part of the chorus.
