The new phonogram Cuban Gospel Music Vol. 1 features the production of musician, composer, and director Edesio Alejandro, National Music Prize 2020, together with Joan Báez, sound engineer, and mastering by Niurka Lecusay and Leandro Abel Barzaga.
The new album is volume one of what will be a compilation of various records performed by local and foreign artists from Puerto Rico and the United States, in a forthcoming international collaboration.
Cuban Gospel Music Vol. 1 is made up of 9 unreleased tracks by Cuban authors and performers from different churches throughout the country, from Pinar del Río, La Habana, and Villa Clara. Songs such as: "Siete," by Jackie Sosa, "Sin ti," by Betsy Rodríguez, "Diferente," by Joel Sosa, among others, and from the international repertoire the gospel classic "Sublime gracia," a featuring with Cristian Alejandro and Rita Elens.
Praises sung by soloists, duets, band, and choir, in musical genres such as pop, urban music, and song, exalted by the devoted and believers of our country from a contemporary perspective.
