Honorary Doctorate from the Instituto Superior de Arte to professor Salomón Gadles Mikowsky

Next Thursday, May 23rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Universidad de las Artes (ISA), the ceremony for awarding the Honoris Causa Doctorate to Professor Salomón Gadles Mikowsky will take place.

A native of La Habana, Salomon Glades Minkowsky is a renowned pianist and pedagogue. He has been a piano professor at Manhattan School of Music in New York for more than 30 years, as well as at Chicago College of Performing Arts.

On the occasion of this event, on May 23rd and 24th at 6:00 p.m. in the Basílica Menor del Convento de San Francisco de Asís, the pianists Jiayin Li and Sophiko Simsive, students of Mikowsky at Manhattan School of Music, will each offer concerts.
