From the hands of the Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM) comes to digital platforms "A romper el coco", a phonogram that brings together for the first time three greats of Cuban music: Alexander Abreu, Alain Pérez and Mayito Rivera.

This record production, which brings together in 10 tracks the 55 years of history of the country's oldest record label, the 125th and 105th anniversaries of the births of Miguel Matamoros and Roberto Faz, respectively, as well as the centenaries of Benny Moré and el Niño Rivera, also pays homage to the ensembles Arsenio Rodríguez and Casino, la Sonora Matancera and Son 14.

According to a press release, the album features special guests such as Charlie Aponte, Edwin Bonilla, Bobby Allende and la Conga de Los Hoyos.

The album was enhanced with the production of Alden González and Geovanis Alcántara, co-producers of the phonogram "A mí qué", Tribute to Cuban Classics, by José Alberto El Canario and the Septeto Santiaguero, winner of the Latin Grammy in 2018.

The Santiago-born visual artist Alberto Lescay collaborated in an exceptional way on the graphic design that accompanies the material.

According to producer Alden González, EGREM's essential objective with this project is to make visible to new generations the wealth of traditional Cuban repertoire, which is why it has been a privilege to count on these musicians, since they have great popularity among young people.

Alexander Abreu stated that "A romper el coco" is the musical uprising that has been missing for a long time and that this is the only way to recover musical values that are hidden and show them to today's youth.
