Although Ana was unable to achieve what would have been her first major international award, she has become one of the great protagonists of the ceremony. The actress is triumphing in Hollywood as one of the trendiest celebrities. Her role in Knives Out has earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a comedy film, competing against two great performers: Emma Thompson (Late Night) and Cate Blanchett (where'd you go, Bernadette), and which was finally won by Awkwafina, star of The Farewell.

Ana, who is now 31 years old, began her acting career when she was only 14 years old, when she was selected to enter the National School of Art of Cuba. After starring in 'Una rosa de Francia' alongside Álex González, she moved to Spain, where she became known for her role as Carol in 'El internado', where she worked with Elena Furiase, a close friend of hers ever since. In fact, we've seen them together on a recent trip Ana took to Spain.

Ana did not manage to take home the coveted award she was competing for—best actress in a musical or comedy—although she has emerged as a great winner of the ceremony, for her look, her charm, and the energy she exuded speaking in Spanish, blowing kisses and sending emotional messages. "I love you so much," she said smiling, after proudly affirming, "Here I am!"
