Daymé Arocena will launch new album: "the most beautiful thing I've done in my career"

Cuban singer Daymé Arocena shared her experience listening to her new album, which she has been preparing for almost two years with Puerto Rican producer Eduardo Cabra.

Through her Facebook profile, the artist commented: "…I just listened to my newly mastered album. With this, the cycle that Eduardo and I started in December 2021 has finished its first season…".

With great emotion, Arocena wanted to publicly share a message she had sent to the former Calle 13 member, whom she considered her "favorite producer".

In the text directed at Cabra, Daymé said that although she knew he preferred to speak, "at this moment I am speechless with emotion. When I get over it I'll call you… Never, but never in my life did I dream of having an album like this".

The singer continued saying: "I want you to know that you have changed my life. You brought out a Daymé that I didn't know. You've opened a world of possibilities for me. You've given me back the desire to dream".

To finish the message, she assured that "even if nothing happens with this album, even if no one ever heard it, you have given me the best album in the world".

Returning to her social media post, Daymé specified that the producer probably wouldn't react to her post, "because he lives immersed in his creative cave and somewhat removed from virtual interaction, but he has been present in all the important events of the last two years of my life. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Edu!".

Then, she wrote: "I don't know what people will feel when this album opens its eyes to the world, but in my heart it is the most beautiful thing I've done in my entire career".

Daymé revealed that her new recording "is coming very soon", although according to her it will arrive "little by little so you can enjoy it".

Last year, in an exclusive interview with Cuba Noticias 360, Arocena told how the creative experience of the album had been and how she settled in Puerto Rico to work entirely on her new material with Cabra.

"He is a person who lets himself be guided by his instincts and it seemed to me the most humble and genuine thing that a person like him, without knowing me, would open the doors of his house to me, not only to work, but to stay for as long as I needed", the singer stated to this outlet.

About the album, which was then in the recording process, she said they were "working a lot, without rest, and I think by September there will already be surprises. I don't want to say much more, but it's being a process that we are enjoying to the fullest".
